PURPOSE

Hospitality chose me early on. While getting my undergrad degree at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, California, I landed a part-time job as a front desk agent at the quaint little Inn at Sunset Cliffs hotel. The hotel was privately owned and managed by a small team who empowered and entrusted me in all aspects of the operation. My background had primarily been in family and small businesses and I’ve learned that there is a great sense of pride and ownership that comes from this experience. It goes beyond the Monday through Friday 8 hour workday. Work ethic comes from the heart because we treat the business as if it is our own. I fell in love with my part-time job and the people I worked with and hospitality became my calling.
